The average price of the first touch-up is around R700, but as you may have guessed – the price of a touch-up will depend on several factors.
In general, there are multiple touch-ups: the first is 6-8 weeks after the initial microblading session and is necessary to get the full effect; further sessions are done annually to maintain the brows.
Annual touch ups are relatively affordable, averaging at R200 across the country.
This means that you’ll spend about R1300 in total to get microbladed brows, but the maintenance won’t be so harsh on your wallet.
Average Nanoblading Cost in South Africa
Before we wrap up the article, we have to talk about microblading’s equally popular alternative – nanoblading. The main difference is that nanoblading is done with an even thinner blade, so the results will be even more precise strokes and more natural-looking brows.

What Does the Microblading Eyebrows Price Include?
Regardless of your location, the price you pay should cover the full treatment, which typically involves 2 visits, the initial pigmentation and the perfecting session.
So, if this is your first time microblading your brows, make sure to ask about it so you can plan and schedule accordingly.
The first thing you’ll do when you get to the salon is sit for a consultation.
During this appointment (or part of the appointment), the tech will ask you about what you want to achieve and possibly draw a sketch using a brow pencil so you can get a feel for what the end result will look like.
The next bit is the appointment itself.
Here, the tech will use a microblading blade and PMU pigment to draw on the individual hairs of the brow. This process usually lasts about 2-3 hours and isn’t painful thanks to the numbing cream that the tech will apply prior to starting the process.
