You have some control over how quickly and comfortably you heal after a fibroblasting session – with the right aftercare routine and products, you can ensure everything goes super smoothly!

Fibroblast aftercare isn’t a complex process that requires lots of different tubes and cans of various products – in most cases, you’ll only need to buy 1 or 2 new skincare items.

The most important thing you can do for your healing skin is to follow the dos and don’ts of plasma pen aftercare, which, to most, doesn’t require to stray too far from their regular routines.

You’ll find all the necessary plasma fibroblast aftercare instructions below, so keep on scrolling!

Plasma Fibroblast Aftercare Dos and Don’ts

In order to make your plasma pen healing process as quick and painless as possible, here’s a list of fibroblast aftercare instructions!

What to Do

  • Ask for and follow the instructions your tech gives you,
  • Use mild products (suggestions below),
Apply ice packs to help lessen the swelling,
  • Cleanse using your fingers to reduce friction,
  • Use an SPF when going out,
  • Minimize sugar intake to get the best results,

You can return to your normal life after a day, but remember you won’t look your best due to the spotting.

What NOT to Do

  • Don’t tan, in the sun or in a sunbed,
  • Don’t shave/wax the area,
  • Don’t pick the scabs,
  • Don’t use physical or chemical exfoliants,
  • Don’t go swimming, especially in chlorinated water,
  • Don’t expose yourself to contaminants (e.g., touching the fibroblasted area with unwashed hands)
  • Don’t wear makeup until the scabs have flaked off (the longer you wait the better),
  • Don’t exercise for the first 48h,
  • Don’t get botox/fillers/microneedling for the first month,
  • Don’t smoke or drink alcohol excessively, as this can slow collagen production,
  • Don’t use hot tubs or steam baths.

Plasma Pen Aftercare for the Face

The skin on your face is much more sensitive than the skin on, for example, your stomach.

That’s why it requires more care and attention, especially after a treatment such as a plasma pen. After your appointment, you can expect swelling, redness, and some burning on the fibroblasted area.

Here’s how to care for facial skin after a plasma pen session.

Cooling Products for Plasma Pen Aftercare

Since many describe the sensation you feel for the first few days post-plasma pen to be similar to a bad sunburn, your first instinct will be to cool the area – and you’ll be right!

Agents such as Centella (or pennywort) are a great option since that is a mild hydrating ingredient that will help soothe your skin and speed up the healing process.

Plasma Eye Lift Aftercare Tips & Products

Since the eyes are the most sensitive area, and eye lifts sometimes require more than one plasma treatment to get the full effect, the aftercare is also a bit more intense.

Following the treatment, you should wear sunglasses or wide-brimmed hats to keep the eyes from direct sun exposure.

It is also recommended that you sleep on a silk pillowcase to avoid irritating the area. It’s also best you sleep on your back for the first few nights to alleviate the swelling.

You need to be really gentle when cleansing your skin, and keep it moisturized with mild products.

Here are our suggestions for keeping the area clean and hydrated:

Aloe Vera Gel for Fibroblast Aftercare

For fibroblast aftercare aloe vera gel is a good option thanks to its hydrating and soothing properties. It’s proven to be useful in speeding up your plasma pen healing process, and it’ll minimize discomfort.

Aquaphor for Plasma Pen Aftercare

For plasma pen aftercare Aquaphor can be a good way to help the scabs from peeling prematurely.

Like we said, it’s very important to let them form and then fall off naturally without picking them to prevent scarring. However, due to friction from washing or putting on and removing clothes, the crusts may get torn off accidentally.

Here are Aquaphor products that could help with fibroblast recovery, regardless of the area treated:

Plasma Pen Aftercare for the Body

Since the skin on your body is significantly thicker and more durable than the one on your face, the fibroblast recovery process should be much less uncomfortable.

The steps you can take at home for, for example, fibroblast stomach aftercare, don’t differ much from the ones you would take after removing facial wrinkles. The same dos and don’ts apply, with an added note that you should watch the type of clothing you wear.

Ideally, no friction should be applied over the fibroblasted area, but since that’s not always possible, be careful when putting on and taking off your clothes. You should also wear looser-fitting outfits, and expose as much of the sensitive skin as possible (but not to sunlight!).

The materials you wear in the days following the procedure should be soft and light, and you should avoid coarse ones, such as denim.

Plasma Fibroblast Aftercare Cream for the Body

When it comes to plasma pen aftercare products for your body, the same rule applies as for your face: no harsh agents or exfoliants.

You should switch to gentle products for your body, such as a soothing plasma pen aftercare cream or mild body washes that will help you ease the burning in the first few days, as well as keep the affected area clean and hydrated.

Fibroblast Aftercare – Main Takeaways

The plasma pen treatment is a great way to give your skin a younger and more refreshed look.

It can also be used as a way to achieve a lifted effect in different parts of the body, without the need for surgery. Thanks to the non-invasive nature of fibroblasting, the aftercare process isn’t a complex one.

The main thing to remember is to avoid harsh environments, such as direct sunlight or activities that will induce friction on the fibroblasted skin, and aggressive active ingredients in skin products.

The best skincare routine for fibroblast aftercare should include products with Centella and aloe vera due to their soothing and moisturizing properties.
